Durian season in Cambodia generally runs from mid-May to July, so don’t miss a chance to try this amazing tropical fruit. Some people love it while others say it’s disgusting. The main reason for such opposite opinions is famous unusual smell of the fruit. Kampot province in Cambodia is famous for durian farms and local fruits are known to be among the world’s best. Durian fans will find ice-cream with durian, sticky rice with durian and coconut milk and even durian chips. No surprise that there is even a durian statue in the city of Kampot.
