It is a tradition to invoke good crops by dancing in paddy rice fields in the Kagoshima Prefecture. Men form a circle and stomp their feet in this interesting dance. Other attractions include competing for the banner and parading with a giant statue. Have fun!
Traditional celebrations usually take place on the first Sunday of June in Hiyoshichō Hioki, Hioki-shi, Kagoshima Prefecture.
