For a unique winter experience, visitors can head to the Lee Canyon Ski Resort, formerly known as the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort, nestled in the scenic Lee Canyon, Nevada.

Best Time to Visit

The general season at the Lee Canyon Ski Resort runs from late November to mid-April, with the optimal time for skiing or snowboarding being between December and March. This period typically sees an average snowfall of 3.5 meters each year, ensuring well-groomed trails for an exceptional experience. However, weekends and holidays can become crowded, making weekday visits preferable. The resort's regular winter hours are from 9 am to 4 pm.

Lee Canyon Ski Resort

Nestled in Lee Canyon at an altitude of nearly 3,000 meters above sea level, the Lee Canyon Ski Resort receives approximately 3.5 meters of snow each year. The resort offers around 200 acres of skiable lift-served terrain, which includes various trails. Generally, there are 7.3 kilometers of slopes available, all serviced by five lifts for the convenience of guests.

Snowboarders Paradise

This resort is a paradise for snowboarders: a half-pipe and a terrain park with various ramps and trails await. Beautiful snow, incredible mountain scenery, and well-prepared tracks await those who wish to escape from the Las Vegas desert to a winter fairy tale. Remember to take epic photos to memorize such an amazing experience. It's nice to combine a visit to Las Vegas with snowboarding and downhill skiing.

Rentals

At the base of Lee Canyon Ski Resort, a rental shop provides a range of skiing and snowboarding equipment for guests. The shop offers various pricing options depending on individual needs and rental durations, including skis, snowboards, boots, and helmets. However, items such as goggles, gloves, and jackets are not available for rent but can be purchased at the Lee Canyon Sports shop. Visitors are also welcome to bring their equipment if they prefer.

Tickets

Lee Canyon is now part of the Power Pass family, inviting enthusiasts to explore a vast winter wonderland. With the Power Pass, enjoy exclusive access to the finest mountains in the southwest, offering incredible skiing experiences. The Weekday Power Pass grants access from Monday to Friday at all U.S. Power Pass mountains and starts from $275 for a single day. Children aged 12 and under can benefit from a free Power Kids season pass, valid at all Power Pass locations. The Power Pass allows unlimited skiing at Lee Canyon, Purgatory, Snowbowl, Brian Head, Sandia Peak, Sipapu, Pajarito, Nordic Valley, and Willamette Pass with an adult pass priced at $1,149. Lift tickets are available in advance, starting at $14, plus a $10 resort credit.

Getting There

Situated in Lee Canyon, the Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort is roughly 78 kilometers from Las Vegas, making for about an hour's drive. This journey provides beautiful mountain vistas, creating an excellent opportunity for a scenic road trip. During the summer season, parking is free, while winter operations require a $10 parking fee. Season pass holders at Lee Canyon have their parking fees covered as part of their pass purchase and lift tickets include parking for the day of their visit.
