If you love beer and German-style merriments, Frederick Oktoberfest in Western Maryland is a place to be. The annual festival takes place at Frederick County Fairgrounds for two days in late September or early October. Come to feast on Bratwurst, German wines, and beer galore. Enjoy music, dancing, and tons of family-friendly entertainment. The festivities are typically scheduled for Friday, 6 pm to 10 pm, and Saturday, 11 am to 10 pm.

The admission varies by day: on Friday, the price is $6, and on Saturday—$12. Parking on-site is free, but you are asked to donate. Presented by Rotary Clubs of Frederick County, Frederick Oktoberfest raises funds for various nonprofitable organizations operating in the city.
