The annual Maryland Wine Festival is held every September at the Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster, Maryland. Organized by the Maryland Wineries Association, the festival offers wine tastings from over 45 wineries, accompanied by live music, 25 crafts booths, delicious food, and a variety of activities.

The Maryland Wine Festival boasts an extensive selection of over 150 exceptional wines, showcasing a diverse range of local products. Visitors have the option to enhance their experience by purchasing The Explorer Pass, which includes a larger tasting glass and approximately 40 additional exclusive wine samples. On the Main Field, a wide array of locally produced wines, including fine wines, off-dry wines, and fruit wines, will be available for sampling and purchase. Additionally, participants can engage in a blind-tasting activity. The festival operates from 11 am to 5 pm.

The Maryland Wine Festival celebrates its 40th birthday by offering a vibrant atmosphere with live music on the main stage, featuring both local and national musicians playing jazz and '80s hits. At the Main Field, you'll discover a plethora of attractions, including wineries, event partners, live music, juried artisan vendors, and local eateries. Food enthusiasts will delight in the festival's culinary offerings, with highlights including the Cheese Pavilion showcasing premier cheeses from local creameries. Additionally, vendors offer delectable appetizers such as oysters and crab cakes, along with street food favorites like gyros or brick-oven pizza.

Tickets & Location

The Maryland Wine Festival offers three ticket options: General Admission for $40, Explorer Pass for $75 (which includes exclusive wine samples and access to an exclusive seating area), and General Designated Driver for $30-$35 (excluding entry to the Maryland Wine Explorer Village). Children aged 12 years and younger receive free admission when accompanied by an adult ticket holder. The Farm Museum, situated in Carroll County, Maryland, is conveniently located just a short drive from Baltimore and Washington.
