Schedule of events

The Ruby Mountain Balloon Festival showcases a mass ascension where balloons launch across the area, typically taking place at 6 am on Saturday and Sunday at the Spring Creek Sports Complex. Friday is reserved for the enchanting balloon glow show at 6 pm. Approximately 40 balloon pilots and crews will assemble at the festival for a launch near the base of the Ruby Mountains.

Activities at the Festival

The Balloon Festival will showcase a wide array of vendors with food, unique balloon-themed items and festive apparel. Additionally, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities including children's programs, an unforgettable nighttime balloon glow, and tethered balloon rides suitable for individuals of all ages.

Tickets & Location

The event is free of charge and open to the public. The festival will be hosted at various locations in Elko and Spring Creek, Nevada, including Elko City Park and Spring Creek Sports Complex. The area around the Ruby Mountain Range in northeastern Nevada features Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest and Lamoille Canyon, ideal for hiking and camping, offering alpine peaks, clear lakes, and mountain streams.
