Mesquite Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place every last full weekend in January. The festivities occur at the scenic spot near CasaBlanca Resort and Casino in Mesquite, 79 mi (127 km) northeast of Las Vegas. Each morning at dawn (around 7:30 am), a bunch of hot air balloons launch into the skies from the outdoor parking lot and grounds area. They soar above the city, making for mesmerizing sceneries. The public can watch the balloons from the Oasis Resort Parking Lot, located across from CasaBlanca Resort and Casino.
More fun awaits in the afternoon with Night Glow - Candlestick Show for all ages. The night glow time is after the sunset, roughly between 6 and 7 pm. All ballooning events are weather permitting. Additionally, culinary and live entertainment is available in the CasaBlanca Showroom and Skydome Lounge. The public can indulge in Champagne Tasting and other activities.
Admission and balloon watching are free for all ages. Moreover, spectators are welcome to have an up-close experience with the inflated balloons on display and interact with the balloon crews.
