Ohio Brew Week 2024
Celebrate craft brewing and sample over 200 kinds of local beer
Dates: July 12-20, 2024
Ohio Brew Week is an annual festival in Athens, Ohio, dedicated to local beer brewing. Thousands of beer lovers from all around the state gather every July to sample, socialize, and enjoy quality entertainment. The festival features over 26 Ohio breweries, like Great Lakes Brewing Co. from Cleveland, Jackie O's Brewery from Athens, and Rhinegeist Brewing Co. from Cincinnati. It also showcases local restaurants, bars, and food joints. The highlight of the festival is Boogie on the Bricks Street Fair, which features music, dances, arts and lots of fun activities.
Ohio Brew Week Events and Activities
Ohio Brew Week presents nine days packed with events: pool tournaments, concerts, competitions, barbecue cookouts, "meet the brewer," tastings, karaoke, corn hole tournaments, trivia, a haunted tour, and a golf tournament. During the Homebrew Competition, participants can present their own home-brewed beer for ranking and assessing. The best brews get awards. The Brew Barbecue Cook-Off is a competition where participants challenge each other in grilling and barbecuing.

Fest History
Ohio Brew Week started in 2005 to help businesses draw people during the slow summer season when students leave the city. It has featured some of the prominent beermakers like Steve Hindy, president of Brooklyn Brewery, Joe Tucker, executive director of RateBeer.com, and Pat Conway, co-founder of Great Lakes Brewing Company.
