Breckenridge Oktoberfest 2024 in Colorado
The largest street party of the year in the Rocky Mountains
Dates: September 13–15, 2024
Breckenridge Oktoberfest is a large beer and German culture festival, taking place in the Colorado mountains every September. This vibrant city is especially beautiful during fall, with fall foliage surrounding the historical buildings. Oktoberfest truly resembles the Bavarian-style outdoor bash, with its variety of beer, music, and thrilling competitions.
Festival Events
The traditional harvest celebration features over three dozen German food and brew vendors, German games like Hammerschlagan and Bavarian lederhosen, Oompah, polka dancing, and activities for all ages. Thousands of people are drawn by beautiful fall foliage in the Rocky Mountains, fantastic parties, Paulaner Beer, and authentic German treats. The Main Street of Breckenridge is closed for traffic to host a street party with Bavarian dancers, a keg-tapping ceremony, and other fun activities.
Other activities of the Oktoberfest weekend also include Oktoberfest 5K Trail Run and the Annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest Hockey Tournament which hosts over 30 men’s and women’s adult hockey teams. There is also a wide range of child-friendly activities, including face painting, inflatables, games, and much more. If you'd like to challenge yourself, swing by the Stein Hoisting Contest, during which participants compete in who can hold the Bavarian steel mug the longest.
Music Lineup
The festival grounds are home to two Oktoberfest stages: South Stage and Main Stage. Throughout its three-day run, many local artists perform their best hits, entertaining the crowds. This year, the lineup features polka bands Neue Polka and Polkanauts, bands Summit Concert Band, Beau Thomas Band, and Those Austrian Guys.
