The Vintage Ohio Wine Festival takes place every August in a beautiful area at Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland, Ohio, half hour away from Cleveland. Many connoisseurs gather to sample wines from all corners of Ohio, see local artisans and crafters that offer their work, and indulge in gourmet foods from local restaurants and food trucks.
Attendees can also enjoy live music and watch cooking demonstrations and workshops offered throughout the day. Learn more about wine at the wine education demos presented by the American Wine Society. The best thing about the festival is that it offers samples of best Ohio wines: altogether over 150 regional vintages, including Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Riesling. There are red, white, blush, dry and sweet as well as fruit wines made of strawberries, blackberries, peaches, and raspberries that are perfect for the summer.
Vintage Ohio Wine Festival features three stages of live music, a kids’ tent, and Farmpark’s activities. Beautiful tents of different colours, oak groves, rolling hills, and cozy picnic tables make for a great weekend location. The two-day event runs from noon to 9 p.m. each day.
