The 2024 TBM Avenger Reunion & Salute to Veterans is an annual remarkable gathering and airshow, promising two days filled with aviation excitement and heartfelt tributes to our nation's heroes. Taking place on May 17 and 18 at the Illinois Valley Regional Airport (KVYS) in Peru, Illinois, this event holds something special for aviation enthusiasts and veterans alike. Exciting Activities
At the heart of the event are the thrilling performances by the TITAN Aerobatic Team, showcasing their mesmerizing 4-ship aerobatic routine in T-6/SNJ Texans. Their displays will illuminate the skies both during the night airshow on Friday and the day show on Saturday. To enhance the spectacle, Friday night will showcase the renowned "TBM Glow," featuring an unforgettable nighttime TBM Avenger Engine Run-Up, followed by the inaugural fireworks show. Attendees can also enjoy live music by "Regal Beagle" and unwind in the Beer Garden.
Additionally, aviation history enthusiasts will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the Yankee Air Museum's B-17G Flying Fortress "Yankee Lady," offering rides and tours, as well as the chance to take flight in their UH-1H Huey Greyhound Vietnam Era helicopter. Rides in T-6s and surprises are also on the agenda, ensuring there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Honoring Veterans
Saturday takes on a solemn yet uplifting tone with the main Salute to Veterans, featuring a parade and a funeral flag procession. Veterans from all eras are encouraged to participate, alongside their families, in paying tribute to their service and sacrifice. The poignant "Walk of Honor" procession allows families to bring their loved ones' funeral flags for inclusion in the TBM Missing Man Formation, creating a powerful and moving tribute.

Parking for the event is free, with designated areas for general and handicapped parking. Shuttle services will be available for those needing assistance. Please note that Illinois Valley Regional Airport is located within approximately a hundred miles (160 km) of Chicago. Attendees are advised to bring only necessary items, as chairs are not permitted in the ramp area. Additionally, strict guidelines prohibit smoking and drones within the event vicinity to ensure safety and compliance with FAA regulations.
