Greenwich + Docklands International Festival 2024, London

This summer weekend is devoted to modern art and outdoor performances

Dates: August 23-September 8, 2024

If you happen to be in London in June, do not miss the opportunity to visit the Greenwich + Docklands International Festival—a real extravaganza of performances, circus tricks, and dance arranged in the southeastern London districts of Greenwich and Docklands. Experience theater on the banks of the Thames, an eight-hour aerial performance atop a melting block of ice, and dance by a global sensation, along with much more.

Greenwich + Docklands International Festival Program

This large-scale event unites hundreds of national and international masters of theatre, dance, and street performers and offers a rich cultural program at open and closed concert venues. Live 3D presentations, street art, pop art, classics, alternative art, and comedy stand-up can all be found here—a little something for everyone!

The Greenwich and Docklands International Festival also features a number of special events, like Dancing City, a series of outdoor dance taking place at Canary Wharf's streets, parks and riverside. Other highlights include hundreds of pigeons flying over the Thames with small LED lights attached to their bodies.

Festival of Street Art Greenwich + Docklands is probably the largest outdoor festival of London's summer. Most events are suitable for the whole family. The atmospheric riverside near Bazalgette Pumping Station in Thamesmead or the historic surroundings of the Royal Arsenal Woolwich - this festival definitely helps to discover London from an unusual angle.
