Power in the Pines Air Show & Open House is a biannual aeronautics event held at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst during a weekend in May. The ASOH stands as JB MDL's grandest public event, spotlighting air supremacy across land and sky. Along the flight line, an array of aircraft and vehicles from multiple military branches, including their guard and reserve components, are showcased.

Schedule of the Airshow

Power in the Pines Air Show features a variety of U.S. military aircraft on the ground for the public to explore. The opportunity to see military jets and equipment up close, as well as the stunning aerobatic performances, draw about 200,000 people. Usually, events run from 11 am to 4 pm. Food & beverages will be available for purchase.

Lineup of the Airshow

The show's lineup includes top performers like the USAF F-16 Viper Demonstration team. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst was opened in 1941. It was named after Major Thomas B. McGuire Jr., the second-leading ace in American history. The air base hosts the 305th Air Mobility Wing, 108th Air Refueling Wing (ANG), 621st Contingency Response Wing, the 514th Air Mobility Wing (AFRC), Marine Aircraft Group 49 (MAG-49) (U.S. Marine Corps Reserve / 4th Marine Aircraft Wing), along with other air performers, ground static, and STEM displays.

Tickets & Location

The event is free and open to all, and complimentary parking is provided. JB MDL base, located in Burlington County, 16 miles (25 km) southeast of Trenton, is under the jurisdiction of the Air Mobility Command.
