



Power in the Pines Air Show & Open House Featured in
Power in the Pines Air Show & Open House is a biannual aeronautics event held at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst during a weekend in May. JB MDL base, located in Burlington County, 16 miles (25 km) southeast of Trenton, is under the jurisdiction of the Air Mobility Command.
Power in the Pines Air Show features a variety of U.S. military aircraft on the ground for the public to explore. The opportunity to see military jets and equipment up close, as well as the stunning aerobatic performances, draw about 200,000 people.
The lineup of the show includes top performers like the USAF F-16 Viper Demonstration team. The event is free and open to all. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst was opened in 1941. It was named after Major Thomas B. McGuire Jr., the second-leading ace in American history. The air base hosts the 305th Air Mobility Wing, 108th Air Refueling Wing (ANG), 621st Contingency Response Wing, the 514th Air Mobility Wing (AFRC), Marine Aircraft Group 49 (MAG-49) (U.S. Marine Corps Reserve / 4th Marine Aircraft Wing), and others.
