Native to Malaysia and Indonesia, Rambutan fruit occupies the second place in the list of top 10 rarest and tastiest fruits in the world.
Rambutans grow in clusters on the evergreen trees and are distinguished by unique appearance and taste. It's particularly sweet cream-coloured flesh is covered with a red skin full of long thick pink to green hairs. Rambutan's season stretches from May to September.
