Stowe Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place at the Stoweflake Resort in early July. Get ready for a breathtaking sight of dozens of balloons going up over the picturesque Vermont mountains! The annual celebration with over 30 years of history features lots of live entertainment, a kids' zone with a variety of activities, great food, and a beer and wine garden.
Stowe Hot Air Balloon Festival's program usually starts on Friday with a massive balloon launch at dusk, around 7 pm. On Saturday you can count on seeing both sunrise and sunset launches. To enjoy the beautiful mountainous scenery from a birds-eye perspective, you can take a hot-air balloon ride, priced at $300 per person, or opt for a budget-friendly tethered ride for $10 per person. On Sunday, there is no sunset launch or festival activities in the afternoon.
Live music will accompany afternoon ballooning events during all days of the festival. Guests can also visit the Marketplace, the Spa Tent, and the Beer & Wine Tent.
