The DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) is an annual music event taking place in the U.S. capital during the Labor Day Weekend. One of the most beloved free summer music festivals in DC, Jazz Fest showcases a diverse lineup of the most acclaimed modern performers as well as emerging and local musicians.

DC Jazz Festival Events

The DC Jazz Fest brings national and local musicians to over two dozen venues in the city, including the main stage, with free performances at The Warf. This busy waterfront neighborhood with many restaurants and shops is a perfect urban setting for the immersive festival experience.

DC Jazz Festival Line-Up 2024

On the 2024 Festival stage, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy great performances by Samara Joy, Jacob Collier, Dianne Reeves, Galactic, D-Nice, David Murray Quartet, Brandee Younger Trio, B.J. Simmons, Ragiland Cyntje, Kenny BarronVoyage Trio, Cimafunk, Michael Thomas Quintet, Stephen Arnold & Sea Change, Confulencia, Nazar Abadey and Supernova, Bobby Sanabria Multiverse Big Band feat Janis Siegel, Antoinette Montague, and Jennifer Jade Ledesna, Joonas Haavisto, Amy K Bormet Trio, and a plethora of others.

Gold Party

A gold party celebrating 20 years of musical innovation, cultural enrichment, and community engagement will take place on August 30 in the nation's capital, Anthem. Doors will open at 6 p.m. to welcome all guests who wish to enjoy a lavish evening. Performances by Jacob Collier, Samara Joy, and D-Nice will begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $69 to $299.

Admission and Pet Policy

Guests can choose from three types of Festival tickets: Standing Tickets ($25), Seated Tickets ($150 and $250), and VIP Tickets ($275 and $500) plus fee. The Festival is pet-friendly, so attendees can bring their fluffy friends.

History

Held since 2004, the DC Jazz also provides free music education programs across many underserved communities. Throughout its history, the DC Jazz Festival has brought international, national, regional, and local artists, including GRAMMY Award winners and NEA Jazz Masters. Past performers included Gregory Porter, Samara Joy, Kenny Garrett, Charles Lloyd, Terri Lyne Carrington, Orrin Evans, Veronneau, Cindy Blackman Santana Band, Dianne Reeves, Emmet Cohen Trio, Patrick Zimmerli, and many others.
