Dates: June 18, 2023
Manitoba Marathon is held every June on Father's Day at the University of Manitoba Campus in Winnipeg. A thrilling massive race attracts about 10,000-13,000 runners and over 30,000 spectators. The race offers participants a variety of options for competition: full marathon, wheelchair marathon, half marathon, a group relay, Fitness 10K, and 2.6-mi Super Run. The Manitoba Marathon was the first run to be ever held in Winnipeg in 1979. Since then, it has always been occurring on Father's Day.
The Manitoba Marathon starts and finishes at the University of Manitoba campus IG Field in south Winnipeg. After completing their distance, runners enter the stadium for a Big League finish at field level. The top three runners receive plaques and cash awards. Also, the top three finishers in each division receive special medals.
The Expo is held on Saturday before the marathon at the University of Manitoba Investors Group Athletic Centre. Participants can pickup their race packets, make donations as well as shop for various athletic and fitness merchandise.
