Event Highlights
Participants can choose between the full 42 km marathon or a more manageable 21 km half-marathon. The event also features two additional races: a popular 10 km race that attracts thousands of local and international runners and a 4 km fun run designed for children. Children's Race usually takes place a week earlier at King Hussein Park.
Route
The marathon (42.195 km) and half-marathon (21 km) races start at 6:00 am, with an earlier start for Wheelchair and Visually Impaired participants at 5:50 am. The route begins in front of the Hashemite Square traffic light, proceeding along Quraysh Street and Al Mesdar, making a U-turn at the Al Mohajireen Traffic light and passing key landmarks like the Greater Amman Municipality and the Roman Theatre. Marathon runners repeat the route four times, while half-marathon participants complete it twice, with all races finishing at Hashemite Square. The 10 km race starts at 9:00 am and follows a similar route.
