The Taroko Gorge Marathon is an annual event that takes place in the world-renowned Taroko National Park in Hualien since 2000. It is the only marathon in a place entirely surrounded by mountains and nature. Runners have beautiful scenery along the way and get to experience the beauty of nature.

Every year, this Marathon creates new tournament records, regardless of the number of participants, the nationalities of the players, and the race results. The Taroko Gorge Marathon is divided into two groups: a full marathon and of half marathon. This way different participants can choose their own schedule and experience the beauty of the vast forests and mountains at their own pace.
