TCS Amsterdam Marathon 2024

Labeled platinum by World Athletics, the Amsterdam Marathon has taken place annually since 1975. Thousands of participants come to beautiful Amsterdam to be involved in this marvelous event. It usually takes place on the third Sunday in October. The program of the race includes the Mini Marathon, Skylanders Kids Run, TCS 8 K run, a Mizuno Half Marathon race and the marathon itself.

Marathon Route

The marathon begins and ends at the iconic historical venue, the Olympic Stadium. The route is overfilled with things worth witnessing in Amsterdam. You'll pass the famous Rijks Museum twice, running past the Amstel Hotel and Museum of the Tropics with the enthusiastic residents of the city cheering you on all along the way. A favourite among Amsterdammers, the Vondel Park is also included in the course. The 48-hectare terrain is full of ponds, flowers, playgrounds, and footpaths. The marathon begins at 9 am and has a time limit of six hours.

Mizuno Half Marathon

Another popular highlight of the Amsterdam Marathon program, the Mizuno Half Marathon boasts a shorter but still challenging course for those wanting to test their abilities. The race begins at 1 pm at Stadionweg, passes by Utrechtse Bridge, and finishes at the Olympic Stadium. The participants are expected to complete the course in three hours.
