The Monaco and Riviera Marathon takes place annually in February or March. Although the race starts and finishes in Monaco, it also crosses the border between France and Italy and turns around in Ventimiglia. Participants run along the coast so that both runners and their supporters can enjoy pleasant views while competing. The Monaco Marathon is one of the most popular sports events of the year in the region.
In addition to the traditional marathon, there is a 10-km race which takes place entirely inside Monaco. So there is a chance for you to participate even if you are not ready to run the traditional distance of 42 km.
