The Run Rome The Marathon, or Maratona di Roma, is one of the most prestigious marathons in Europe, with a rich tradition that attracts around 12,000 participants annually. It draws runners from over 115 countries, showcasing a spectacular route through the Italian capital's iconic landmarks.

The main event, "Run Rome The Marathon," takes place at 8:30 am, covering the full 26.2 miles (42.195 km) of the historic city's streets. For those seeking a team experience, "Run4Rome" allows participants to create relay teams of four, each tackling one of the different course sections, also totaling the marathon distance. In addition, the "Fun Run" or "City Races" invites everyone to join a 5km celebration filled with music and camaraderie, departing at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 15. This event begins at the Imperial Forums and concludes at the Circus Maximus.
