The main event, "Run Rome The Marathon," takes place at 8:30 am, covering the full 26.2 miles (42.195 km) of the historic city's streets. For those seeking a team experience, "Run4Rome" allows participants to create relay teams of four, each tackling one of the different course sections, also totaling the marathon distance. In addition, the "Fun Run" or "City Races" invites everyone to join a 5km celebration filled with music and camaraderie, departing at 10:30 am on Saturday, March 15. This event begins at the Imperial Forums and concludes at the Circus Maximus.

Marathon Route

The Rome Marathon takes runners on a historic route past iconic landmarks like the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Palatine Hill, Circus Maximus, Castel Sant'Angelo, St. Peter's Basilica, and the Spanish Steps. The course includes Piazza Navona, the Campidoglio, and the Theater of Marcellus and finishes at the Imperial Forums, completing a scenic journey through the heart of ancient Rome.
