This marathon route stretches along a range of great historical monuments and ancient ruins. It passes Saint Peter’s Basilica, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, and the Spanish Steps. So, keen runners can combine the sport with sightseeing and double up on a great experience! With about 12,000 runners participating, it is one of the biggest and most spectacular European marathons.
