For more than 15 years Linz hosts one of the easiest marathons in Europe. The third-largest city in Austria attracts about 20,000 runners every April to join a 42.2 km marathon, a 21.1 km half marathon, and a 10.5 km quarter marathon.
The track is really easy and flat so this marathon is perfect for those who want to get back into shape after winter or for the starting marathon runners. After some preparation, you can gain confidence in your achievement and physical form. Apart from the main race, you can find here a marathon relay, children's races, and a half marathon for inline skaters. Every year more than 100,000 spectators attend this athletic event.
