Grand Junction Air Show is one of the largest and most popular aviation festivals in the region. The show attracts thousands of aviation fans from Western Colorado and Utah to Grand Junction Regional Airport. The weekend event features roaring military jets, amazing aerobatics, ground displays, vendors, food, and beverages.

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels flight demonstration squadron is usually the headliner of the show. The sound of the powerful jets and high-precision acts, such as the Diamond 360 Maneuver, leave spectators in awe. The United States Army Parachute Team Golden Knights performed at the Grand Junction Air Show in 2019. The lineup also usually includes top performers like F-35 Single Ship Demo, Hot Streak Jet Truck, Vanguard Squadron, George Cline - Air Boss, Power Addiction/BradWuersten, Bob Freeman Airshow, and F4U Corsair - Korean War.

The first air show took place in Grand Junction, Mesa County, on August 27, 1912. “Aviation Day” was held at the local Fairgrounds. 34- year old Charles Walsh flew on a biplane of his own design. Because of its popularity, the air show took place again on October 12, 1914, attracting 6,500 spectators. The airport was built in Grand Junction in the 1950s.
