The Dominican Festival Jazz Festival is a free, multi-day event full of rhythm, color and flavor, held on the north coast (Santiago, Puerto Plata, Sosua, and Cabarete) as well as Punta Cana.
With twenty years of history, the festival is deemed to be one of the biggest cultural events in the Caribbean. It presents a series of free concerts on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic and enjoys participation by internationally acclaimed performers. Among them, there are Chuck Mangione, David Sanchez, Esperanza Spalding, Ray Baretto, Ignacio Berroa, Nestor Torres, Joe Lovano, John Patitucci and many more.
Moreover, The Dominican Festival Jazz Festival brings music education to the region as well and this all with a help of a non-profit organization FEDUJAZZ. This organization conducts musical workshops for youth, which benefits more than 200 children.
Generally, the festival shows are free and open to the public. Priority seating and VIP tickets are available for purchase.
