Fourth of July is celebrated with much Southern charm and on a large scale in Georgia. There are a massive run and celebration in Atlanta, many unique events like historical reenactments in historic Savannah, cozy coastal celebrations in Tybee Island and Golden Isles.
Atlanta draws many visitors on the 4th of July due to various festive events, barbecues and fireworks. Downtown Atlanta hosts the most famous fireworks display which follows the festivities at Centennial Olympic Park and SunTrust Park. The Star Spangled Classic Fireworks Celebration starts on June 30th at around 5 p.m. with live music, food trucks and children's fun on Washington Street and College Avenue. Dazzling fireworks are launched with patriotic music at 9:30 p.m.
