Every June, the Maryland Lavender Festival offers some of the most picturesque views in the state attracting thousands of visitors to Springfield Manor in Thurmont, Maryland. The festival features tours of local lavender farms as well as dozens of vendors, live music entertainment, food trucks, wine and beer, spirits tastings, seminars, and demonstrations.

Visitors of Maryland Lavender Festival can relax in fragrant fields, have a picnic with a beautiful view or make some great shots for their Instagram. Visitors can buy plants, dried lavender, and freshly cut flowers as well as try lavender gin, lavender vodka, and homemade lavender lemonade. The festival runs from 9 am to 4 pm.

Springfield Manor is a beautiful Bed & Breakfast not far from Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, Baltimore, and Gettysburg. It also hosts a brewery and distillery for fine spirits: Rye & Corn Whiskey, Rum, Bourbon, Vodka, Grappa, & Brandy from local orchard fruit. Surrounded by picturesque Catoctin Mountains and Cunningham Falls State Park it is a perfect mountain retreat that reminds of Provence when lavender fields are in full bloom.
