The 4th of July is a significant day for every American. People get together and celebrate Independence Day loudly and happily. The City of Coon Rapids has fun for three days in a row and welcomes everyone to join the parade, carnival, and fireworks shows.
Coon Rapids Parade, Carnival and Fireworks (July, 2024)
Coon Rapids 4th of July Fair includes a parade, a carnival, North Star Lions food & beer tent, food trucks at Boulevard Plaza, a car show, live music, games, rides, and a 5k run. The pinnacle of the party is a huge fireworks display, voted a top pyrotechnic show in Minnesota. The community parade mostly kicks off at 1 pm on July 3rd and winds down Mississippi Boulevard, through neighborhood streets, with the endpoint at Boulevard Plaza. The fireworks blast off at 10 pm on July 4th.
The Coon Rapids 4th of July Celebration is held thanks to its sponsors, such as the Coon Rapids North Star Lions Club, the Coon Rapids Fire Department Social Club, and the Coon Rapids Community Strength Foundation.
Duluth Fireworks | Duluth Fourth Fest (July, 2024)
This is a Fourth of July celebration and fireworks extravaganza unlike any other in the Midwest. Visitors and locals alike will enjoy this free event. Gates normally open at 4 p.m., and music performances start at 5 p.m. This Duluth annual family-friendly event at Bayfront Festival Park lasts until 11 pm, with a grand fireworks display at dusk. Duluth is located 151 miles (243 km) from Coon Rapids, but the trip is worth it.
Minneapolis Fireworks | Red, White, and Boom (July 4, 2024)
The Red, White, and Boom event takes place on the alluring Downtown Minneapolis Riverfront. From 6 pm, live music and food trucks will entertain locals and guests. The celebration will end with an unparalleled fireworks display at 10 pm. The last time the Minneapolis Red, White, and Boom event lasted was in 2019. Therefore, in 2024, the event promises to be grandiose because many people missed it. Minneapolis is located 15 miles (19 km) from Coon Rapids.
