Columbus Jazz & Rib Festival is one of the favourite summer traditions in Columbus, Ohio. Held every July at Bicentennial and Genoa Parks, the festival features three stages of live music acts by international, national and local artists along with over 20 premiere BBQ teams cooking juicy ribs and chicken meals. The festival attracts about 375,000 attendees.
Jazz & Rib Fest offers an excellent lineup of musicians, focusing on jazz, funk, and soul. The previous editions included the beloved Columbus Jazz Orchestra, The Squirrel Nut Zippers jazz-blues-rock ensemble, The Soul Rebels, jazz superstar Norman Brown, multi-instrumentalist Brian Culbertson, Robert Randolph & The Family Band and many others.
The three days of the Jazz & Rib festival are filled with live performances and sizzling barbecues. Visitors can bring their own lawn chairs or blanket to relax on the grass. The event is free and runs from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
