The city of Gahanna, which is a suburb of Columbus located in Central Ohio, is known for its spectacular fireworks show celebrating America's Independence. Fireworks, which are launched at 10 pm, are a culmination of the weekend full of fun activities in Gahanna.

Gahanna Independence Day Fireworks (July 3, 2024)

The Independence Day Celebration starts at 5:30 pm with a vibrant festival at Gahanna Municipal Golf Course. Honey and Blue open the evening, and the Wet Bandits headlining the evening. The celebration features food vendors, live music, and entertainment. It ends after dusk with the highly anticipated annual Fourth of July fireworks at approximately 10 pm. Guests who will be watching the fireworks from cars should tune into 103.5/104.3 to listen to the Independence Day soundtrack.

Red, White and Blues Block Party (July, 2024)

Fun activities continue during the 4th of July Weekend at the annual Red, White and Blues Block Party. The party runs from 11 am to 11 pm at the Gahanna Sanctuary. One of the most important annual events of the Gahanna Foundation features live music, food, and much more.

Gahanna 4th of July Parade (July, 2024)

Gahanna's traditional 4th of July Parade is one of the largest annual local events organized by the Gahanna Lions Club. The procession begins at Clark Hall, 380 Granville St., then goes west on Granville Street, and ends at Royal Plaza on the northwest corner of Agler and Stygler roads. Attendees can enjoy family-friendly activities, food, and music entertaining the crowds.

Sunbury 4th of July Parade and Fireworks (July, 2024)

Independence Day Celebration in Sunbury, located 20 miles (32 km) from Gahanna, is an awesome full-day event featuring shopping, fun activities, and a parade at 10 a.m. Then, guests can enjoy live music at the Big Walnut Middle School before the fireworks, which start at dusk.

Columbus Red White & Boom! (July 3, 2024)

The biggest fireworks show in the Midwest takes place in Columbus, located 10 miles (16 km) from Gahanna. The grand free fireworks display gathers over 400,000 visitors to celebrate Independence Day and honor military and veterans. This popular event also features a parade, a street festival, and live musical entertainment. To have a full experience, guests can buy VIP Entry ($125), which includes food, drinks, and premium adult beverages; prices go up on June 1st. Child VIP Entry to Boom is also available.

Lancaster 4th of July Fireworks Shows and Parade (July, 2024)

Lancaster (35.5 miles (57 km) from Gahanna) celebrates Independence Day loud and fun with a parade, entertainment, and fireworks. Festive events gather in Lancaster, not only locals who adore this festivity but also guests from the surrounding area.

Westerville 4th of July Fireworks and Parade (July, 2024)

Westerville's Independence Day Celebration, organized by the Rotary Club of Westerville, is a full-day event featuring the State Street Parade, the 5K Walk/Run, the Concert Series and Food Truck Festival, and the fireworks show. The celebration starts with The Rotary Club of Westerville Independence Day Parade, which steps off on State Street at approximately 10:30 a.m. and proceeds south to Electric Avenue. Then, join the Parade with local civic organizations, sports, and school groups. Westerville's Fireworks Display, beloved by locals and visitors, is normally launched from Heritage Park near Everal Barn at approximately 10 pm.
