A 400-year-old festival that takes place in the Longhua Temple, Shanghai, gives a chance to discover old Chinese clothing and crafts. During the event, you will see a lot of people praying for good fortune, many of them dressed in traditional clothes. Various mythological creatures and stilt walkers are taking part in a huge parade with thousands of participants. Colourful costumes, stunning dances and blossoming peach flowers everywhere make Longhua Temple Fair an event worth to remember.

The Fair is traditionally held on the third day of the third lunar month. Visitors can explore the stalls along the Temple street selling all sorts of goods and foods, watch traditional performances, participate in the welcome ceremony and some religious rituals.
