Oak Harbor 4th of July Parade & Fireworks 2024 in Washington
A vibrant celebration on Whidbey Island

Oak Harbor is the largest city on Whidbey Island, within 92 mi (148 km) north of Seattle. Oak Harbor’s Old‑Fashioned 4th of July Celebration is a traditional community festival with beach‑side vibes. The four-day (July 3-7, 2024) celebration features a grand parade Downtown, a carnival, food trucks, shopping, and, of course, fireworks. You can also take a little road trip and visit Sedro-Woolley and Anacortes to add some variety to the festivities.
Oak Harbor 4th of July Parade and Fireworks (July 4, 2024)
The Fourth of July parade sets off at 11 am on SE Pioneer Way and goes through Historic Downtown Pioneer Way. Spectators line the streets, greeting decorated floats and community members who show off their patriotic spirit. The parade is organized by the Oak Harbor Rotary Club and the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce. The fabulous fireworks display takes place in the evening on SE Pioneer Way.
Whidbey Wags Pet Parade (July 6, 2024)
The 2nd annual Whidbey Wags Pet Parade & Fair is a great way to spend Independence Day with your lovely pet, participating in the parade. The event kicks off at 11 am on SE Pioneer, with pet-themed fair booths waiting at the end.
Food and Shopping (July 4-6, 2024)
More festivities await at Windjammer Park, including carnival rides, festive games, arts and crafts booths, food trucks, and more. The lively program will take place over three days from 10 am to 7 pm.
Sedro-Woolley Carnival and Fireworks (July 5-6, 2024)
If you don't mind a short drive on Independence Day, check out Sedro Woolley, located 34 miles (55 km) from Oak Harbor. There, you will immerse yourself in the longest-running 4th of July celebration in Washington State. Sedro-Woolley hosts many events and activities during the celebration, such as a Loggerodeo, the International Chainsaw carving competition, a PRCA Rodeo for Cowboys and Cowgirls, a Kiddie Parade, a Pie Watind, a Fireworks Show, a Carnival, and more.
Guests can also attend the annual 4th of July Grand Parade, which normally begins at 11 am on July 4 and lasts around 2 hours. The Parade sets off from 3rd St. and Bennett St. and ends at Township and State St. A wonderful patriotic day ends with a grand salute at 10 pm. However, the celebration does not end there because the festive events will continue until July 6.
Anacortes 4th of July Parade (July, 2024)
Another celebration, which takes place in Anacortes, 20 miles (32 km) from Oak Harbor, can be a great choice for a short trip and fun activities. The 4th of July Town Parade starts around 10 am and lasts up to two hours. The event will set off at 3rd and Commercial and travel through the city streets.
