Oak Harbor is the largest city located on Whidbey Island, within 92 mi (148 km) north of Seattle. Oak Harbor’s Old‑Fashioned 4th of July Celebration is a traditional community festival with beach‑side vibes. It features a grand parade in Downtown, a carnival in a waterfront park, and, of course, fireworks.

The Fourth of July parade sets off at 11 am, going down Bayshore Drive. Spectators line the streets greeting patriotically decorated floats. The parade is organized by Oak Harbor Rotary Club and Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce.

More festivities await at Windjammer Park, Smith Park, and Flintstone Park. Entertainment includes live music, carnival rides, a beer garden, and food trucks. There's also the 4th of July Street Fair on Pioneer Way. Fireworks will be launched at Windjammer Park after dark. They can be watched along Bayshore Drive or Pioneer Way.
