Oktoberfest in La Crosse 2024, Wisconsin

La Crosse in Wisconsin takes pride in holding the longest-running Oktoberfest festival across the Midwest. This colorful tradition began in 1961. Since then, the celebration of German heritage has run on 1 Oktoberfest Strasse every year between late September and early October.

Oktoberfest Program

Oktoberfest in La Crosse is much more than just a beer fest. The street festivities consist of vibrant events, highlighting each day of the weekend. You can attend The Torchlight Parade on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 7 pm. On the same day, at 4 pm, you can stop by Craft Beer Night. On Friday, you can see the Tapping of the Golden Keg Ceremony at 11 am at The Remainders Garden Stage. Later, the Lederhosen Games take place at the Garden Stage Area. Saturday features the Maple Leaf Parade at 10 am and fireworks at 9 pm. Also, Sunday morning features a Meddallion Hunt and a fun-packed program with tons of entertainment for the whole family.

Craft Beer Night (September 26, 2024)

Over 20 craft breweries participate in the Oktoberfest signature event. Attendees can sample new brews and get to know the brewers themselves. General admission begins at 5 pm, and VIP admission begins at 4 pm. VIP tickets also include the chance to sample a wider variety of beverages and enjoy pizza from Big Al’s in the Sam Adams VIP lounge. Craft Beer Night takes place on the Downtown Oktoberfest grounds near the Garden Stage.

2024 General Admission tickets are $24.95. All attendees 13 and over need a valid wristband to enter the Oktoberfest grounds on Thursday– Saturday. Free admission is offered on Sunday. VIP ticket is $107.95. It includes access to VIP entrances and restrooms, access to VIP-only lines at each bar location, 9 am entrance for the Tapping of the Golden Keg, an Oktoberfest souvenir button, an Oktoberfest refillable acrylic stein, and three beverage credits preloaded to the wristband. A VIP Package for 4 is $360. Tickets are available online.
