Hong Kong Wetland Park is home to an impressive cast of wildlife. Visitors may enjoy the beauty of nature around the 60-hectare Wetland Reserve which includes mangroves, a crocodile enclosure, a butterfly garden, a floating boardwalk, and much more.
It is highly recommended to visit the park during the winter months when flocks of birds migrate from the north to inhabit the wetlands. Over 240 of bird species have been recorded in the area. During this time the park organises an annual Bird Watching Festival, where visitors can learn about birds in different lectures and workshops.
