Each year the city of Geneva, IL, located on the western side of the Chicago suburbs, hosts a festival named Geneva Christmas Walk. This one-day event is typically scheduled for early December, marking a great start to the holiday season. The merriments start at 6 pm on Kane County Courthouse lawn. The highlights include the Great Tree lighting, the arrival of Santa Lucia and Santa Claus, carolers' performances, dazzling holiday lights galore, and the most special one: the longest candy cane!
