Gene Leahy Mall and more beautiful locations in Omaha

Dates: November 26, 2023–January 8, 2024

Omaha Holiday Lights Festival has been transforming the largest city in Nebraska every Christmas season for over 20 years. Hundreds of amazing light displays make Omaha look amazing. Downtown and residential areas boast bright LEDs, inflatables, shimmering curtain light decorations, and much more. Some areas are lit up with thousands of lights choreographed to holiday music.

Gene Leahy Mall is the top destination to see Christmas Lights in Omaha. The Mall, also known as Central Park, features a long loop pathway and a large lagoon. The whole area around the Mall is delightfully illuminated for the holidays. The main highlight in this area is the Christmas Tree, which is lit up with lights on Thanksgiving. The ceremony of tree lighting at 6 pm ends with a concert and free entertainment.

More Lights can be seen in the Old Market area of Omaha. Holiday displays shine brightly with white lights, garlands, and various decorations, making the brick streets and buildings look especially festive. Some impressive displays can also be viewed in North Omaha, along North 24th Street, from Burdette Street to Ohio Street. The holiday season in Omaha usually concludes with a spectacular fireworks display on New Year's Eve.
