New Cumberland Apple Festival is an annual event held on the last Saturday in September in New Cumberland Borough Park, located at Front and Reno Streets in the town of New Cumberland, Eastern Pennsylvania. The family-friendly event features great entertainment, contests, arts and crafts, food, and many activities for all ages.
The one-day Apple Festival offers live musical entertainment from opening until closing, as well as a vibrant marketplace with more than 70 food vendors and 200 craft vendors. Other highlights include an Apple Pie Contest for baking enthusiasts and Lego Contest for those who are able to create a project from Lego architectural blocks. Visitors can take advantage of the trolleys, taking guests to the festival from Bridge Street at the corners of Third Street, Seventh Street, Park Avenue, and Haldeman Boulevard.
The festival, with over 30 years of history, is sponsored by the New Cumberland Olde Towne Association. The event attracts about 12,000 attendees annually. New Cumberland Apple Festival supports a number of local non-profits as well as the Fire Department, the Police Department, the Fire Police, the Civil Air Patrol, and New Cumberland Revitalization efforts.
