Skippack Village, located 35 mi (56 km) northwest of Philadelphia, in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, holds a memorable annual Independence Day party. The event’s organizers have done their best to provide the finest conditions for celebrating America’s birthday. There will also be activities for any age, so feel free to bring along your little ones.

Parade

As a part of the program, the city's administration has planned a patriotic parade, starting at 11 am in downtown Skippack. The parade travels down Route 73 (Skippack Pike) through the center of Skippack Village. The colorful procession features fire trucks, antique cars, various community groups, and other entries. Crowds of children, dressed in red, white, and blue, cheer and collect candy, thrown by parade participants.

BBQ Party

At 3 pm, Skippak hosts a BBQ party at Parc Bistro, so everyone willing to join the event is more than welcome to come. In addition, many craft food and drink vendors will present their mouthwatering masterpieces, so you will have an opportunity to taste some delicious meals and beverages.

Fireworks

And after all this fun, you will be able to enjoy an amazing and long-awaited fireworks show, held at Palmer Park, right next to Skippack Elementary School. The Park hosts an array of fun, family-friendly activities, like slides, DJs, caricatures, balloon art, food vendors, and raffles for all. Parking at the park is $10 per car. The celebration starts at 6 pm and runs until 9 pm. The fireworks begin at dusk, around 9: 15 pm. Be sure to book your accommodation beforehand and have fun!
