It might still feel like summer in Tampa during October, but you can surely get into the Halloween spirit here with a variety of fun events, festivals, haunted tours, and scares. Get aboard the Haunted Zombie cruise on the S.S. American Victory, which departs from the Tampa Convention Center, or experience a haunted river tour on the Pirate Water Taxi. If you still haven't had enough, head to one of many Tampa Bay theme parks for a special Halloween program.

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream (September 6–November 2, 2024, on selected nights)

Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream is a premier West Florida Halloween event, running from mid-September through October. This immersive experience features terrifying scare zones and haunted houses inspired by Hollywood horror movies. Zombies, werewolves, scary clowns, and other monsters lurk in the darkness, ready to surprise unsuspecting visitors. Outrageous entertainment on the Festival Field adds to the atmosphere of terror. Event hours are from 7 pm to park close, with prices starting at $32.99.

ZooTampa Creatures of the Night (September 27–October 27, 2024, on selected nights)

The annual Creatures of the Night event at ZooTampa Lowry Park is one of the favorite family Halloween activities in Tampa Bay. Meet the mysterious Nightshadow, a dream master who brings dreams to life and various spooky characters, like goblins and pirates. Try some creepy culinary treats, and visit a scary haunted house. Halloween is a great time to spend outdoors in Tampa, trying all sorts of fun activities! One-day ticket starts at $30-40.

Tampa Halloween Fest (October 27, 2024)

Join us for a Halloween Fest on Sunday from 12:00-4:00 pm at the WestShore Plaza Mall! This fun, indoor trick-or-treating event features family-friendly businesses handing out candy and showcasing their offerings. When the candy runs out, enjoy free balloon animals, crafts, temporary tattoos, character meet-and-greets, and more fun activities. Visitors are encouraged to come dressed up as a family for a chance to win a prize.
