Every summer in mid-June, the scenic city of Salina, Utah gathers folks for a vibrant weekend of ballooning and family-friendly entertainment at the Eyes to the Sky Balloon Festival. The event features about 35 hot air balloons, launched daily at 6 am from the North Sevier Middle School or the nearby Salina Elementary School. On Saturday, you can also enjoy a free tethered balloon ride and see the magic of balloon glow, which runs on Main Street at around 9 pm.
Besides hot air balloons, the fun-packed Eyes to the Sky Balloon Festival offers free evening concerts, craft and food vendors, and contests with prizes. You'll also get to experience all sorts of tournaments, such as Bingo and Corn Hole, carnival rides, a free swim in the Salina swimming pool, a live national anthem performance, a free painting session, and more. As you can tell, there is fun for everyone, so grab your family along and have a memorable time! In addition, keep in mind that the city gets busy this time of year, so we suggest booking your housing in advance.
