ValleyFest is an annual beer and wine festival held in McGaheysville, Virginia. The premier beer and wine event in the Shenandoah Valley takes place on the picturesque slopes of Massanutten Resort during the Memorial Day weekend. The festival showcases the best local craft beers and microbrews, regional wines, and ciders. There is also live entertainment, an arts & crafts fair, and food vendors. Over 4,000 people gather for the one-day ValleyFest in Massanutten to try excellent beverages and food, dance to live music, and shop for some high-quality handmade gifts.
Shenandoah Valley of Virginia boasts many merlots and pinots from well-known wineries, like CrossKeys Vineyards or Eastwood Farm & Winery. The list of breweries at the festival includes The Virginia Beer Co, White Claw, Stable Craft Brewing, Blue Ridge Beverage, Sierra Nevada, Champion Brewing Company, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Alewerks Brewing Company, and New Belgium Brewing.
A live music program that focuses on local talent features bands like Koda and Marie of Chamomile and Whiskey, Pebble to Pearl, Parker Barrow Project, and Tunnels End. The music concert starts at noon and lasts until 6:30 pm. Proceeds benefit community charities of the Harrisonburg and Rockingham County Rotary Clubs. General admission to the festival is $25.
