Nocturnal light magic at Franklin Park Zoo

Festival of Lights, also known as Boston Lights, is the annual show taking place at Franklin Park Zoo. Every year, from late July to late October, the Zoo is illuminated with sparkling lanterns, which include returning favorites and new additions. Zoo Lights features over 60 spectacular displays consisting of hundreds of skillfully crafted lanterns.

Visitors can immerse themselves in a luminous rainforest, a cherry blossoming orchard, an amazing ocean with sea creatures, or a glowing lotus and bamboo tunnel. Cranes, dragons, and other Asian mythology characters dominate the show. The highlights of the show include a 66-foot-long (22-m) rose corridor, an 82-foot (25-m) octopus tunnel, and an 87-foot-long (26-m) Tyrannosaurus Rex tunnel.

There's a lot to see on 72 acres of the exhibition. From traditional lantern displays to modern light sculptures, there are many attractions and activities you can enjoy during the festival. The show runs from 6 pm to 10:30 pm. The last entry for ticket buyers is at 9:30 pm.
