The holiday season in the picturesque village of Fox Lake always starts with the Fox Lake Festival of Lights. The awaited community celebration features the Christmas parade, the tree lighting, and the Kris Kringle Winter Market at the Community Garden Green.
Fox Lake Festival of Lights parade starts at 5 pm. near Grant Community High School and goes to Millenium Park along Grand Avenue. Festivities continue after the parade with the opening of the Santa Cottage and the Annual Tree Lighting at Millennium Park. The public is also welcome to shop at Kris Kringle Winter Market, located at the Community Garden Green, from 2 pm to 6 pm.
Fox Lake is famous for its lights and holiday decorations. Many businesses participate in the Holiday Decorating Contest, creating beautiful displays with rope, icicle, and LED curtain lights. Visiting Fox Lake, located in Lake County, 57 miles north of Chicago, is a great holiday experience!
