Mongolian rivers provide epic fishing experience in the Siberian wilderness. Though official fishing season lasts from mid-June to the first days of November, in fact, the best chances for a great catch are in July and August when the insatiable Siberian salmon is seeking food to prepare for the coming prolonged winter. For late visitors, there are also fishing opportunities in September and early October, but only in the eastern regions of the country. Though at this time the weather may not be as welcoming, the fishing is still delightful—and when you feel cold, you can always return to your ger and warm up by the fire.
