The Park is interesting place in itself boasting both fresh and salt water. It borders Wadden Sea and has a man-made lake formed in 1969. This means that the flora and fauna are extremely diverse and a paradise for nature lovers. Some special birds of the spring time are Greenshark, Wood Sandpiper, Little Gull, Ruff, Eurasian Wigeon, Curlew, Bearded Tit, Red-Necked Phalarope, and many many others.
