History of Smorgasburg
Founded in 2011 as an extension of the popular Brooklyn Flea, Smorgasburg was launched by Jonathan Butler and Eric Demby. Over the years, it has helped incubate hundreds of independent food and drink vendors from around the world, attracting millions of visitors. The New York Times famously dubbed it “The Woodstock of Eating” due to its vibrant atmosphere and diverse culinary offerings.
