Walrus in Norway 2024-2025
You might look for a couple of walruses on your own, but your best shot is to take a boat to Pyramiden

Extremely sociable Arctic Walruses like to reveal themselves to people who seek a walrus encouter. There are several walrus habitats in Norway: Svalbard is the most well known. However Moffen Island and the islands of Karl Prins Forlandet also offer great walrus viewing. Occasionally the cinnamon-colored mammals might be also spotted in the fjords along the shorelines near Longyearbyen during late spring and early summer. The best chance to see a group of curious mammals is offered by a visit to Pyramiden. The boat-trips are available between mid-October and June.
