EUROPAfest 2024

One week of jazz, blues, pop & classical music in Bucharest

Dates: July 5-13, 2024

Every summer, EUROPAfest makes Bucharest the European capital of music. Over 300 musicians and special guests from 45 countries attend the only festival in Europe, which spans four music genres: jazz, blues, pop, and classics. The festival features a series of concerts, jam sessions, workshops, music competitions, and master classes.

Founded in 1993, EUROPAfest is held under the patronage of Princess Margarita and Prince Radu. The festival starts with an Opening Gala with big-name international artists performing. The Jeunesses International Music Competition and the Bucharest International Jazz Competition for instrumentalists and vocalists have become a big part of the festival. The public can attend the competitions at Auditorium Hall in the Royal Palace and at the Art Center Tinerimea Romana. Other festival venues include the Odeon Theatre, Arcub Hall, New Academy of Music, the European Public Space, Hard Rock Cafe Bucharest, Clubul Taranului, and Cafe L'Estaminet.

EUROPAfest usually ends with the Gala concert, featuring the best musicians of the festival and the prize-winners of the contests. The night culminates with performances and jam sessions.
