Though not too pleasing to the eye, these creatures are a true delicacy

Known in Japan as Namako, Manamako, Akako, Aoko or Kaiso—all of which actually mean "sea rat," the juicy flesh of this marine animal is considered a delicacy.
They are eaten mostly raw. The best species are the red ones since they are generally softer and tastier!
