Hampton Beach Seafood Festival is an annual two-day event that takes place in early September (the weekend after Labor Day) in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire. The event is held on Ocean Boulevard (Center Beach) that gets closed to traffic from the Marine Memorial to H Street. This popular food event features over 50 of the Seacoast’s top restaurants that serve their best dishes and arrange culinary chef demonstration. There is non-stop live entertainment at two stages featuring over 15 bands, and premiere shopping at end-of-season sidewalk sales. The lobster roll eating contest is one of the festival's highlights.
Every year, the annual weekend festival ends with a fantastic fireworks display. There are arts and crafts tents that feature over 80 vendors. There's even a beer tent serves wine and beer! At the cooking demo tents, you can take advantage of the opportunity to learn from New England's top chefs. Don't hesitate to try New England's signature lobster, shrimp, and clams, as well as festival foods like “Bloomin’ Onion” and fried ice cream. Live music entertainment is focused on blues, country, rock, and jazz. Admission is $5 on Friday; $10 on Saturday; and $8 on Sunday. The festival attracts about 300,000 attendees during the two day span.
